Most often when making input purchasing decisions retailers will give us the prices of individual products in a $/mt unit. So dry urea (46) is $500/t phosphorous is $700/t, potash is $480/t etc. When we are doing next year crop planning it would be an awesome user functionality to have an input catalog with each one of these products where we can update the price of each component. Then a blend creator etc where we put in what our targeted lbs/acre we want of each component is. The calculator would then provide the blend ratio along with the cost per acre from the data set we updated. Furthermore you could have this all tying in together throughout the planned activities etc so that as managers we can make informed decisions on where we should increase a blend to achieve possibly a higher yield target but is the cost worth it. We could do this by just tweaking that targeted rate amount or based on changing market prices in fertilizer. Do i pre buy this summer vs winter vs next spring
Thanks for the suggestion! At this point, we are not exploring a blend calculator at this time.
